MODIFICATION OF PUPPY DOOR
This may not be necessary depending on a few factors.
The puppies always seem to accidently bump the locking tabs, locking themselves & others inside/outside Removing these are pretty much a necessity for preventing these occurrences. The magnets are way too strong for young puppies and adults who don't understand they have to PUNCH through the door. you can either replace them with weaker magnets or simply break one in half by allowing them to collide, placing them back into one side while leaving the other set completely intact should be completely adequate. The "guillotine" lock work quite well!

I'd put the template 4-8 inches off the ground; the experienced pups seem to be able to use the door at its current height when they're allowed into the "big cave". If you have puppies under 8 weeks and/or those unfamiliar with this style of door, you probably want to put the door closer to the ground like I have in the puppies' room "small cave" but for adult's
